Makes 1 Silicon Paw Mold Tray (6 paws)
INGREDIENTS
3 Tbsp watermelon puree
2-3 finely chopped mint leaves
4 Tbsp coconut oil
4 Tbsp Kairos Toppers or Herbs of choice
DIRECTIONS
Divide and sprinkle the chop mint into the 6 paw shapes. Pour 1/2 tablespoon of watermelon puree into each mold, then place in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes while preparing the next step.
In a medium heat-proof bowl, microwave coconut oil until just melted, about 30 seconds. Add in Kairos Toppers or Herbs and mix until well combined. When the watermelon has frozen enough to be slightly solid on the top, remove from freezer. Pour herb mixture on top of the frozen watermelon mixture, dividing evenly between the 6 paw, just under 1 tablespoon for each paw. Freeze until solid, about 1-2 hours.
Each of these paws will have approximately 2 tsp of Kairo’s powder and 2 tsp of coconut oil.
This recipe can be used with either coconut oil. Virgin coconut oil will still have a coconut taste and smell, whereas refined will not. The only other difference between them is that Refined can be heated to a higher temperature, but since these don’t require heating, either one will work.
What kind of coconut oil? There are soooo many! Unfractionated, cold-pressed…. so confusing!
